Applications are currently being processed for the last round of medical research grants. Information on submitting an application for the next round will be posted shortly.
Application process
Applicants must hold a medical, scientific, nurse consultant (or honorary consultant) contract at one of the Sheffield Hospitals or NHS Trusts.
Applicants should download the documents published below. The application is a read only file and should be saved with a new file name prior to completion. Each section contains a pre-defined field which should be completed as appropriate. The completed form should then be emailed to the address indicated in the form.
Please note the following:
- Only electronic applications will be accepted. There is no longer any facility to accept postal, faxed or personally delivered applications.
- The form is designed to be completed using Word 2003 or later. In earlier versions, the integrity check will fail and the application will consequently be rejected.
- The application form contains macros which must be enabled in Word. To do this:
- For use with Word 2003...
From the menu bar, select tools, Macro, Security. On the security level tab, select Medium - For use with Word 2007...
Click the Office button, then Word Options. Select Trust Center Settings. In Macro Settings, select Enable All Macros - A delay may be experience on opening the form, please be patient
- The form has not been tested on non Windows platforms and successful completion of an application cannot be guaranteed if using a Mac-based PC.
- Use the integrity check feature (button on first page) to check for major errors.
Applications failing the check will not be accepted and resubmission will not be permitted.

A charity cricket tournament is being held near Doncaster on Sunday 6th July to raise money for the Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal.

The Sheffield Business Club is hosting a special "night at the dogs" at Owlerton Stadium on Tuesday 9th September, to raise money for the Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal.
Football Tournament
