Study grants
A small proportion of SHCT's funds are used to support existing NHS staff in their professional development.
The J Sinclair White endowment fund provides financial assistance to nurses attached to any Sheffield NHS trust who are undertaking top-up degree courses or attending one-off training courses or seminars.
In addition, SHCT also provides some financial support to medical and other staff at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Sheffield Children's Hospital, to attend relevant conferences or courses overseas.
Guidance for NHS staff
The following application form and guidance note is available for nurses who wish to apply for support from the J Sinclair White endowment fund:
Completed forms should be sent to Helen Hanrahan, Education Commissioning Manager, Education and Development Department, Rivermead Training Centre, Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, S5 7AU.
Arrangements for overseas study leave for all other staff at the Teaching Hospitals and Children's Hospital are under review. Please contact your training and development department in the first instance.
