The NHS in Sheffield - There when you needed us the most

Most of us have needed medical help at some time in our lives, from the birth of children, accidents in childhood, or more serious conditions as we get older.

Now we need you

Sheffield Hospitals Charitable Trust supports projects across the NHS hospitals and organisations in Sheffield, by providing funding above and beyond the restrictions of the NHS.

A gift to help innovation and excellence in healthcare for years to come

Legacies are an important part of our income. Every year we contribute more than £2 million for improved patient care, better facilities for patients and staff, and independent medical research.

Who will you leave a gift to?

Leaving a gift in your Will doesn’t mean choosing between leaving your family secure and leaving a gift to charity. A gift of any size can make a real difference and you can choose where your gift will be spent. For example, this could be for a particular ward, medical speciality or medical research project, at any of the Sheffield NHS organisations or hospitals.

E-mail now for ‘A Lasting Legacy’ our practical guide to making a Will on

charity@shct.nhs.uk or call Legacy Officer Janice Coley on 0114 271 1382.

Please visit our Legacies page for more details.

Regular Giving

Regular donations are of crucial importance to a local charity. They help us plan our activity, knowing when we will have money to spend and how much we will have, making it much easier for us to budget and maximise the impact of our spending.

This method of supporting a charity is also easy for you. The money automatically leaves your bank account each month, with nothing else for you to, but feel proud of the difference you are making.

So whether you can afford £2 or £20 a month, please help support the work we do by setting up a regular donation. Further information and a form for you to complete are available below.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer it is possible for your donations to go a lot further. Signing up for Gift Aid means that for every £1 you give, we get an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue. Gift Aid can be claimed on all the donations you make, at no extra cost to you.

When making a donation, please ask to sign up for Gift Aid, or call us on 0114 271 1351 and we will send you a form to complete. Alternatively, an electronic version of the Gift Aid form can also be found below.
