Local printer pledges support to appeal

Northend Creative Print Solutions is the latest company to lend their support to the Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal.

This print firm has been based in Sheffield for over 125 years, and is delighted to be supporting such an important local cause.

They have pledged to raise a total of £6,400 from a variety of fundraising initiatives. This money will then be used to purchase a new ECG machine for the leukaemia and other blood disorders ward (ward P3), at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.

Head of Fundraising for the Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal, Emma Dickens, said: "The support of local companies such as Northend, is vital to the success of our appeal. We have a target of raising £150,000 to fund new equipment for a ward and day room that take in patients from across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamsire and North Derbyshire."

Main sponsor for One Night in Vegas announced

The Sheffield office of major investment management company, Rensburg Sheppards, is the main sponsor of “One Night in Vegas”.

One Night in Vegas is the glamorous fundraising ball planned for May 2008, which will raise much-needed money for the Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal.

The appeal’s head of fundraising, Emma Dickens, said: “We are delighted that Rensburg Sheppards is supporting our event in such a generous way. Not only through sponsoring the event, but by attending on the night and ensuring the evening is a great success.”

Tickets for the event are now on sale, costing £650 for a table of ten, or £68 each.

Blackwell adds support to Sheffield Leukaemia Appeal

image:Blackwell logoThe Blackwell University Bookshop on Mappin Street, Sheffield, is working with Sheffield Hospitals Charitable Trust, and the Sheffield Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to raise funds for the charity’s leukaemia appeal.

The retail outlet is promoting its special offers to Teaching Hospital staff, and offering free delivery to their place of work, and in return the Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal will receive 10% of all sales.

Emma Dickens, Head of Fundraising for the appeal, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a respected book retailer in Sheffield. This activity will benefit Teaching Hospital staff, bringing them discounted books with free delivery, whilst also raising much needed funds for the appeal“.

“The appeal aims to raise £150,000 to fully equip planned new wards that will benefit leukaemia and other blood disorder patients within the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. Support from companies such as Blackwell is vital to our success.”
