The Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal

This appeal was first launched in July 2007, with the relatively modest aim of raising £150,000 to fund new equipment for ward P3 of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. However, the appeal was an immense success, and since then has raised more than £420,000 and funded the following projects:

  • £150,000 for new equipment on the ward
  • £160,000 for a new side isolation room
  • £100,000 for an ambulatory care facility, enabling patients to stay with their families off the hospital ward
  • £10,000 for a new patient entertainment system

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our supporters who made the above possible. However, that is very far from being the end of this appeal. There are many more projects we would like to fund to improve the lives of patients with leukaemia, myeloma, lymphoma and a number of other blood disorders, from across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and beyond.

We are continuing our fundraising efforts, and ask that you give us your continued support to make a difference to the lives of our patients.

More detail will follow shortly about the next stage of this ongoing fundraising appeal, however in the meantime all money received will continue to be used to benefit patients of the haematology department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.
